Step 3: Choose a Career

A character’s career is their profession or occupation. It is what they do for a living and what they are good at. It will also determine what career skills they have and what equipment they start with.

1CommanderCommanders are the ultimate authority on a ship. They are responsible for making decisions that affect the entire crew, and they are the ones who must ensure that the ship runs smoothly and efficiently.
2ConvictConvicts are criminals who have been sentenced to serve time in a penal colony. They are skilled at surviving in harsh environments and need to rely on their wits and cunning to stay alive.
3EngineerEngineers are highly skilled technicians who are responsible for maintaining and repairing the ship’s systems. They are experts in a wide range of technical disciplines, from propulsion to life support.
4Med-TechMed-Techs are medical professionals who are trained to provide emergency medical care to the crew. They are skilled at diagnosing and treating a wide range of injuries and illnesses.
5NavigatorNavigators are responsible for plotting the ship’s course and ensuring that it reaches its destination safely. They are experts in astrodynamics and are skilled at navigating through dangerous territory.
6OperatorOperators are covert operatives who specialize in gathering intelligence and carrying out missions behind enemy lines. They are skilled at infiltration, sabotage, and other clandestine activities.
7ScientistScientists are experts in a wide range of scientific disciplines, from biology to astrophysics. They are responsible for conducting research and experiments that further our understanding of the universe.
8Ship-OpsShip-Ops are responsible for the ships systems and ensuring that they are operating at peak efficiency. They are skilled at monitoring the ship’s systems and making repairs when necessary.
